Case study: Pale grey limestone for a calming neutral kitchen
Neutral tones have been used throughout this homely kitchen which features our pale grey stone floor – Chalon grey limestone.
With cloudy movement and subtle fossil content, this versatile stone floor is a popular choice for both modern and rustic settings.
The welcoming space featured in our client’s home includes an impressive island and dark wood breakfast bar with textured stools offering seating for six.
A plethora of storage fills one long wall with shaker-style cabinetry and chrome handles. A handy breakfast cupboard houses all the appliances you need for an early morning meal and an under-counter fridge ensures there is always a chilled bottle of wine ready to pour in the evening.
Our favourite furniture elements are the decorative armchairs which sit alongside the glass doors and offer a relaxing spot to enjoy a morning coffee. They also look wonderful atop the pale grey stone flooring.
At the entrance to the kitchen, the wood flooring in the hallway harmoniously meets the stone tiles, which also continue into the adjoining utility space featuring the same cabinetry as in the main kitchen space.
Overall the neutral tones throughout this kitchen serve to create a calming environment rich with varying natural textures and warm lighting.
