Case study: A modern stone floor for a modern extension

This striking, modern stone floor features the cool, clean lines of Pietra Serena sandstone used as the floor covering throughout an impressive kitchen extension.

Also extending to an impressive outdoor patio, this Italian sandstone was chosen by our customer for its consistent colour and finish.

For the inside 60x60cm tiles with a smooth, honed surface were selected. For outside, the same size was chosen but with a flamed finish for added texture.

The contemporary kitchen extension was added to a historic, Tudor home with much sensitivity and the vast wall of glass allows the garden and nature to filter into the inside.

A red brick wall and seamless, solid wood panelling in the kitchen contrast effectively with the modern stone floor and bring warmth to the space.
